Boy Scouts seek help to establish summer camps

The Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts will provide a day camp at both the Red Bank school system, during the second and third week of August, and the Asbury Park school system, during the fourth week of August.

The program is the result of the Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts taking the initiative to bring Scouting back to the youth in communities of the greatest need.

Neither school system has youth programs during August and would like a quality program in place that will entertain, provide quality programming, and fill a need for the children in first through fifth grades in both communities.

Organizations, groups, and businesses are asked to contribute time or resources to help the youngsters of these two communities. In addition, community groups, civic organizations and other nonprofit groups are asked to provide awareness sessions in their communities to encourage youths to assist in their projects.
