Food pantry helps those in need, and needs help

The food pantry run by the Jackson Women of Today will be open July 22 from 5-7:30 p.m. for residents of the township in need of grocery assistance. The pantry is located in the old library building at 65 Don Connor Boulevard in Jackson. Proof of residency in the township and a current utility bill must be shown each month. Financial information will be required at the first registration.

Adult volunteers interested in stocking shelves and sorting groceries are needed July 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Details: (732) 683-9119.

The Jackson Women of Today is a volunteer organization of women interested in making a difference in the community. Diana Fraundorfer is president of the group, which meets on the second Monday of each month at 8 p.m. at the Orchards of Bartley, 100 North County Line Road, Jackson.
