Mr. Duhigg, 75, of Howell, died Dec. 27, 2012. He was born in Scranton, Pa., and lived in Newark, East Orange, Linden and Edison before settling in Howell in 2004. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Prior to retiring in 2009, Mr. Duhigg owned Seasons Restaurant & Sports Bar in Edison. Surviving are his wife, Alfonsia “Florence” Duhigg; three sons, Michael and his wife, Valerie, of East Brunswick, Gerard Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Howell, and Joseph and his wife, Amber, of Howell; a daughter, Deborah Hutchins and her husband, John, of Howell; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Hummel and his wife, Ann, and Chris Hummel and his wife, Hiroko, all of Virginia; a sister, Nora Hummel-Leigh and her husband, Jack, of Glen Ridge; and his mother-in-law, Theresa Cocuzza. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
