Colorectal cancer prevention and screening, Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hopewell Valley Senior Center.
Join registered nurse Margaret Creevey, a GI cancer nurse navigator from Capital Health, for a discussion on preventing colon cancer. No registration is required.
Alzheimer’s disease and dementia caregivers support group will be held second Tuesday of every month at 2 p.m. at Capital Health Medical Center-Hopewell, One Capital Way in Pennington. Register by calling 609-537-7300 or register on line at capitalhealth.org/events.
Parkinson’s support group will be held the third Wednesday of every month from 2 to 4 p.m. at Capital Health Medical Center-Hopewell, One Capital Way in Pennington. This group is for patients, family, and caregivers.

Lyme disease support group will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 268 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville.

Blood pressure and other screenings:
Tuesday, Aug. 11, 10 to 11 a.m., blood pressure screening. Senior Center, 395 Reading St., Pennington. Bring a machine to make sure it is working properly.
Tuesday, Aug. 18, 10 a.m. to noon, blood pressure screening, lower level, Hopewell Township Municipal Building. Bring a blood pressure machine to make sure it is working properly.
Mondays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m., Healthy Bones, ongoing classes to build bone strength and prevent osteoporosis, in the auditorium at the Hopewell Township Municipal Building. Space is limited. Call 737-0120, ext. 638, to sign up and confirm enrollment in the class. 
