 The Morganville United Methodist Church, 215 Conover Road, Marlboro, is accepting donations for its fall Nearly New Rummage Sale. Accepted items include men’s, women’s and children’s gently used clothing and shoes; toys and games; bed and bath linens; housewares; art and home décor; jewelry; and books. No furniture, televisions or electronics accepted. Donations will be accepted through Oct. 31. The sale will be held Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon.  The Freehold Council Knights of Columbus will host an Oktoberfest dinner from 6-10 p.m. Oct. 23 at 70 E. Main St., Freehold.  CentraState Healthcare System will offer a cooking class for children age 6 and older from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 17 at the Star and Barry Tobias Health Awareness Center, Freehold Township. “Adventures in Eating: Super Foods for Superheroes,” will introduce participants to healthy eating through hands-on activities and tasting samples as they prepare nutritious recipes that feature super foods.  CentraState Healthcare System will offer free prostate and colorectal cancer screenings at 6 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Statesir Cancer Center at CentraState Medical Center, 901 W. Main St., Freehold. The screenings are for men 40 years of age and older who have never had a prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood test and have no previous diagnosis of prostate or colorectal cancer.  The Manalapan Touchdown Club will present a comedy night with Gary Michaels at 8 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Englishtown Fire Department, 3 S. Main St., Englishtown.
