Hanlon earns endorsement for county clerk

I want to go on record as endorsing Christine Giordano Hanlon for Monmouth County clerk. Christine took over as county clerk when Claire French retired this past spring and had the full support of the state Senate, both Democrats and Republicans.

She brings excellent credentials to this position, having been an attorney for 23 years and a commissioner on the Board of Elections.

The county clerk’s duties require filing and recording legal property records, overseeing elections, preserving the county’s historical records and providing passport services and identification cards.

As an attorney, Christine understands the importance of keeping good records and updating them when appropriate. She also knows it is important to keep the public informed about changes in our laws and how the election process works. She is doing a great job.
