WEST WINDSOR POLICE BLOTTER: Nov. 24

  • Madisson G. Fletcher, 19, of Trenton, and Miasia A. Smith, 18, of Trenton, were charged with shoplifting for taking items from Kohl’s at the Nassau Park Pavilion at 4:03 p.m. Nov. 6. They allegedly concealed items inside a purse and some shopping bags. 
  • Nicholas William Betzold Jr., 54, of Boca Raton, Florida, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, refusal to take a breathalyzer test, failure to maintain a lane and improper turn after he nearly struck a patrol car head-on on Emmons Drive at 10:41 p.m. Nov. 6. 
  • Michael Harris, 51, of West Trenton, was charged with theft by deception for taking six items of merchandise at Marshall’s at the Windsor Green Shopping Center and immediately returning them fraudulently for a Marshall’s gift card loaded to $106.95 at 12:36 p.m. Nov. 10. He was also found to have an outstanding warrant for $1,266 from Lawrence Township. 
  • A 55-year-old West Windsor resident reported a case of identity theft. He reported to police that he received a text message from Verizon Wireless on Nov. 10 that one of his cellular numbers on his account had been removed. To access the account, someone would have had to know his personal information and his obscure password. The incident was reported at 8:03 a.m. Nov. 11. 
  • Willie D. Johnson, 48, of Trenton, was charged with shoplifting for taking a blue tote bag and 11 bed sheets from Walmart at the Nassau Park Pavilion at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 12. Allegedly, he put the items in a shopping cart and produced a receipt dated Nov. 6 as false proof that he had paid for the items. 
  • A bone stimulator, valued at $2,000, that was supposed to have been delivered to a 47-year-old township resident was reported stolen from the FedEx store at the Nassau Park Pavilion. The victim, who ordered the item for the New Jersey Primary Care Association where she works, had asked for it to be sent to her post office box, but it was delivered to the FedEx store instead. According to tracking information, the item was picked up at 4:40p.m. Nov. 9. 
